Abstract:

The present research aims at studying the relationship between SPORT perfectionism and achievement motivation with SPORT SUCCESS. The population were including of all athletes participating in 1-st Division League of Kabaddi, from which 144 people were selected randomly as sample. This was a descriptive correlational research. The result of correlation test indicates that there is a significant positive correlation between positive perfectionism and achievement motivation with SPORT SUCCESS, and there was significant negative correlation between negative dimensions of perfectionism and SPORT SUCCESS. The regression analysis also showed that perfectionism explained 51% and achievement motivation explained 48% of variance in SPORT SUCCESS. Finally, it can be said that motivation as a progressive force can be effective in achieving high performance, and the athlete always needs to maintain proper levels of perfectionism in order to be SUCCESSful.

Abstract:

The main objective of this research was to evaluate reliability and validity of Recovery Stress Questionnaire for Athlestes (Rest Q-SPORT). Professional and semi-professional athletes of handball and basketball constitute statistical population of current work. Some 510 athletes were chosen in random as statistical samples. Measurement tool used was a Rest Q-SPORT comprised of 76 questions with 19 sub scales (general stress, emotional stress, social stress, struggle/strain, fatigue, energy deficiency, physical problems, SUCCESS, social recovery, physical recovery, general health, sleep quality, impaired relaxation, emotional fatigue, injury, physical fitness, personal problems, self-efficacy, self-regulation). The scoring method was based on a 5-choiced Likert scale. Face and content validity of the questionnaire was verified after being translated by expert professors of physical exercise. Statistical methods applied were descriptive indexes for description of data, Cronbach’s alpha for reliability assessment, confirmatory factor analysis, and t individual samples for studying difference with average values. Research findings were indicative of a=0.98 reliability for Rest Q-SPORT. All questions showed significant relations with the factor in terms of structure validity and based on the extent of relations and T-values. Indexes of x2/df=2.03, RMSEA=0.052, NFI=0.97, NNFI=0.93, IFI=0.98, RFI=0.91, GFI=0.93, AGFI=0.90 also demonstrated fitness of the model altogether. Moreover, regarding the relation between factors and concept of improved stress for athletes, the obtained results indicated that all factors were able to predict the concept of improved stress well. Therefore, internal and external validities of the model “improved stress for athletes” were confirmed as well.

Abstract:

This study was done to determine the effectiveness of psychological skills training on the perception of the SPORTing SUCCESS of football players. 24 players of football team in Ardabil Shahrdaari were voluntarily selected as research population. The research method was quasi-experimental, and a two-group design did not match the pretest and posttest with control group. The used instruments were the Perception of SUCCESS test by Roberts (POS), Treasurec (PS), and Bolaque. Multivariate analysis of variance was used in repeated measures to analyze the data. Due to the results, the effectiveness of psychological skills training for the experimental group compared to control group. Moreover, the effect of time increased the perception of SUCCESS for experimental group. The calculated F value for the effect of groups was equal to 76. 526 which was significant at the level of 0. 001.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to analyze the achievements of SPORT exhibitions from the standpoint of exhibitors and customers and to present strategies for commercial SUCCESS of SPORTing products. The method of this study is applied in terms of purpose, and in terms of research type, a descriptive survey is carried out. The statistical population of this study includes sales and marketing managers and exhibitors of SPORTing goods companies participating in Isfahan SPORT Exhibitions. 320 exhibitors were selected by judgmental sampling. A final total of 310 exhibitors completed the questionnaires. Data were collected using questionnaire of Alipour et al (2017) Cronbach's alpha reliability was 0. 86. Data analysis using structural equation modeling with Smart PLS and SPSS software. The results of this research showed that “ staff training” was considered as the most important parameters influencing the exhibition-based processes. In addition, it was found that the ongoing processes on the exhibition site have significantly positive effects on the selling and no selling objectives of the firms. At the end, this research has proposed suitable solutions on how to effectively and optimally use the affective factors on those processes and its effectiveness on achieving SPORTs products exhibition goals in the business. Given the impact of information gathering on post-exhibition SPORTs processes, it is suggested that corporate and organization officials categorize this information.

Abstract:

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between cognitive emotion regulation strategies and coping styles in SPORT SUCCESS of student athletes. Methods: Research method was descriptive and correlational. The target group consisted of student athletes of state and Azad universities of Tehran during 1394-1395. 141 athletes were selected with an average rage 24. 29 via availability sampling method. The athletes completed all items of cognitive emotion regulation, coping strategies and SPORT achievement questionnaires. Data analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regressions. Results: Results showed that the relationship between cognitive emotion regulation and problem-oriented style was positive. But emotion-focused coping style was negatively associated with SPORT achievement. Among all kinds of cognitive emotion regulation strategies, only refocus on planning strategy could positively predict SPORT achievement (P= 0. 010). Among coping styles only level of effort style could positively predict SPORT achievement (P = 0. 0005). Conclusions: This study has important implications for improving the athlete performance using cognitive emotion regulation skills.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to determine relationship between mental toughness and SPORT SUCCESS in male and female martial arts. For this purpose, 180 athletes of two sexes were chosen through purposive sampling. The instruments of this research were mental toughness questioner (MTQ-48) and SPORT SUCCESS scale (SSS). Results of regression analysis showed that challenge and confidence factors can significantly predict the SUCCESS of men in martial arts, while predictive factor for women athletes were challenge, control and commitment. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that athletes using mental skills such as mental toughness can increase their chance of SUCCESS in SPORTs competitions. It seems that the difference between predictive factors for SUCCESS in men and women are due to physiological, psychological and social learning.
